‘Raees’ worldwide box-office collection



Shah Rukh Khan's 'Raees' registered an overseas total of USD 13.50 million after third weekend. The film's worldwide collection stands at Rs 267 crore after 17 days, according to a report on boxofficeindia.com.

The Rahul Dholakia-directed film has Shah Rukh playing the role of a bootlegger in Gujarat during the Prohibition Era. Pakistani actress Mahira Khan played SRK's love interest while Nawazuddin Siddiqui essayed the role of a tough-as-nails cop who is out to put an end to Raees' criminal activities. While Mahira couldn't take part in the movie's promotions in India, she addressed a press conference via video chat post the success of the film. Sunny Leone also grooved to 'Laila Main Laila' in the film and the dance number was one of the highlights of the movie.

Shah Rukh Khan celebrated the success of 'Raees' with a bang with Sunny Leone and others. A video press conference was held with Raees' leading lady - Pakistani actress Mahira Khan who could not take part in the movie's promotions. The film however, got banned in Pakistan.

The makers of the film have released a behind-the-scenes video that shows all that went into the making of the January release. Shah Rukh shared the video on his Twitter account. From Shah Rukh's costumes to the pair of glasses that he wears in the film - the team had extensive discussions before zeroing in on his look. The video also sees SRK in his off-duty avatar as he enjoys a round of gully cricket between shots. While Nawazuddin Siddiqui talks about how he found a perfect balance with SRK, the film's leading lady Mahira Khan too reveals how SRK was one of the best co-stars she could have asked for.
